This sweet, tart cranberry sauce with a touch of spice is our seasonal favourite. We tried something a little different and came up with a sauce that doubles as jam. This cranberry sauce isn’t just for thanksgiving or the holiday season anymore, we make this jam year-round.

A 6-ingredient cranberry sauce made in under 30 minutes. So quick, so easy, you’ll never look at the canned version again.

This sweet, tart cranberry sauce with a touch of spice. This cranberry sauce isn’t just for thanksgiving or the holiday season anymore, we make this jam year-round.

Ingredients
  • 3 cups Cranberries
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 tsp lemon juice
  • 1/4 tsp crushed red chilies
  • 1/4 tsp garam masala
Instructions
  1. Rinse cranberries and set aside. Bring water, lemon juice and sugar to a boil in a pot.
  2. Once sugar has dissolved add in cranberries and bring to a boil.
  3. Lower heat to a simmer and mix occasionally.
  4. Once cranberries start to break, add in the garam masala and chillies. Mix well.
  5. Depending on how you like your sauce you can set it aside now or boil it for a little longer mixing occasionally.

5 Cranberry Sauce twists for any occasion. 

  1. Use a 1/3 cup of orange juice and top with orange zest. 
  2. Use 1 cup of Maple Syrup instead of brown sugar. 
  3. Add in some minced Ginger. 
  4. Add in half a teaspoon of cinnamon instead of chillies.
  5. Swap out the Garam Masala & chillies for ¼ cup chopped mint leaves. 
6-ingredient cranberry sauce can be made in under 30 minutes.
